Advanced Users
The Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack Installation and Deployment Guide (SPDeploy) provides additional information for advanced users. It includes instructions for installing Unofficial SP 5.1 on multiple computers. It also describes all of the other advanced documents and tools available with Unofficial SP 5.1.

Unofficial SP 5.1 includes all of the updates that were contained in Service Pack 1 (SP1), Service Pack 2 (SP2), Service Pack 3 (SP3), and Service Pack 4 (SP4) for Windows 2000. Installing only Unofficial SP 5.1 provides you with all of the previous Windows 2000 updates.
If SP1, SP2, SP3, or SP4 is already installed on your computer, you should install Unofficial SP 5.1 without first removing the earlier service pack.

To install Unofficial SP 5.1 from the Unofficial SP 5.1 CD, click here. If prompted, choose "Open" or "Run this program from its current location" to proceed.
The installation might take a few moments to start. When it does so, follow the instructions in the Setup Wizard.
