SE Toolkit Release 3.3
I have been asked to be a host for the SE Toolkit Release 3.3 package
done by Richard Pettit and Adrian Cockcroft. This package provides software for SPARC and Intel versions of Solaris 7, 8, and 9 for 64-bit
versions. See the main home page for details on earlier versions for other
levels of Solaris. Here are the
first few paragraphs from their user's manual.
The SE Toolkit is
- An interpreter for a programming language that is
both a subset of C and C++. Syntactically, it looks like C, but it
contains a limited class mechanism.
- Include files for use by toolkit scripts.
- A bunch of example scripts.
- A set of extensions for writing GUIs and "network aware" scripts.
For details on what the SE Toolkit does and to find support, go to
SE Toolkit.com.
The installation of this program is slighly different that other packages
and source is not available. To install,
- Download the
RICHPse.tar.gz
file by clicking (or shift-clicking) on the above link.
- Go to the directory where you saved the file and run
gunzip RICHPse.tar.gz
tar xvf RICHPse.tar
This will create a directory called RICHPse.
- Now become root user and run
pkgadd -d . RICHPse
and the files will be installed in /opt/RICHPse.
- Go to that directory and then cd to the DOC directory
and read the further instructions there.
